Thank you for using Salary Lens. Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains what information Salary Lens handles and how that information is used.

Overview

Salary Lens is designed as a local-first monthly financial checkup app. The financial information you create in the app is stored on your device. We do not operate a user account system for Salary Lens, and we do not run our own analytics, advertising, or tracking systems inside the app.

Information You Add to the App

Salary Lens lets you store information such as country, currency, salary, other income, expense categories, asset balances, liability balances, savings, investments, debt repayment, emergency fund values, monthly checkups, and report history that you choose to enter.

This information is stored locally on your device using Apple system frameworks. We do not receive, collect, or store that content on our servers.

Local AI and Insight Generation

Salary Lens may generate financial summaries and insight text using Apple on-device Foundation Models when available. When on-device AI is not available, the app uses local rule-based fallback summaries.

Salary Lens does not send your financial facts to an external AI service for insight generation.

Reports, Export, Backup, and Restore

Salary Lens supports local PDF report export, CSV export, JSON backup, and local restore features. When you use these features, files are created, opened, restored, or shared through Apple-provided system interfaces and locations that you control.

You are responsible for how you store or share exported files outside the app.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Salary Lens may offer optional in-app purchases, including subscriptions and/or a lifetime purchase, to unlock Pro features. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple StoreKit.

We do not receive your full payment information. The app may rely on Apple-provided purchase status information made available through StoreKit so it can determine whether Pro features are unlocked on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect personal financial data from Salary Lens users through our own servers as part of normal app usage.

Specifically, Salary Lens does not include:

• Third-party analytics SDKs
• Advertising SDKs
• Third-party tracking SDKs
• Third-party AI SDKs or external AI services
• Account registration or profile collection

Third-Party Services

Salary Lens does not use third-party libraries or third-party advertising, analytics, or AI services for the app functionality described in this policy.

The app does use Apple platform services and frameworks such as SwiftData, StoreKit, Foundation Models where available, PDF/file handling, and document sharing features provided by iOS.

Children's Privacy

Salary Lens is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Data Security

Because Salary Lens stores data locally on your device, your device security settings and your handling of backups or exported files are important. Keep your device protected and be careful when sharing exported financial data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
